Having studied, researched and collected historic dress and textiles all my life I am inspired by heritage dress particularly of the 1930’s, work wear and diverse cultural dress. Trained originally as a weaver I still have a passion for woven plaids, and the simplicity of Shibori dyeing and Japanese textile designs.

My Textiles designs are developed from my use of old and traditional textile dyeing techniques in Shibori, indigo and natural dyeing and Batik.

I teach textiles including Indigo dyeing, Shibori, Batik and Silk Screen printing to adults in the local community and Mental Health services.
